At the beginning of the month of December, the LORD spoke to me about 2014 using a passage from the book of Joel, the prophet:
Joe 2:2-11, “…There is... a great and powerful people; their like has never been before, nor will be again after them through the years of all generations. 3 Fire devours before them, and behind them a flame burns. The land is like the garden of Eden before them, but behind them a desolate wilderness, and nothing escapes them. 4 Their appearance is like the appearance of horses, and like war horses they run. 5 … like a powerful army drawn up for battle. 6 Before them peoples are in anguish; all faces grow pale. 7 Like warriors they charge; like soldiers they scale the wall. They march each on his way; they do not swerve from their paths. 8 They do not jostle one another; each marches in his path; they burst through the weapons and are not halted. 9 They leap upon the city, they run upon the walls, they climb up into the houses, they enter through the windows like a thief… 11 The LORD utters his voice before his army, for his camp is exceedingly great; he who executes his word is powerful…”
When the LORD used these verses to speak to me, He opened my eyes and I saw a great army of powerful Christians (vs. 2) charging at 2014 and assailing it like locusts. I saw an aggressive people laying hands on everything that 2014 had to offer. This army was focused on its objective, determined, disciplined and persevering (vs. 7 & 8). They were not deterred by any obstacle (vs. 9).
I am very convinced that 2014 will be an exceptionally rich and prosperous year for those who would have been ‘violent’ enough. Indeed, the kingdom of GOD suffers violence and it is only violent who take it by force (Mat 11:12). 2014 is pregnant with things which are not going to fall down on their own, like manna from heaven. One needs to be prepared to fight to get them (vs. 5). Forget what others are doing. If you want to ‘win’ 2014, be violent in spirit; focus on what you have seen and wish to obtain. Mind your own business, mission and projects. Do not look for excuses; on the contrary, do not let anything stop you: scale every obstacle (vs. 7 & 9). Those who want to prevent you from possessing 2014 are actually afraid of you (vs. 6); but you don’t know it. Dare to dream and do in 2014: the LORD is with you. He utters His voice before you and is ready to fully execute His Word.
I pray that GOD opens your eyes so that you may see all that He has in store for you in 2014. I pray that He makes you crave to get hold of 2014 and that He also gives you the strength to achieve this. It is He who works both to will and to do in us, for his good pleasure (Phil 2:13).
If you fear the LORD and apply yourself to all these things, come December 31, 2014, you will notice with joy and gladness that there was nothing to worry about, for the LORD would have done great things! The former areas of wilderness in your life would all be green. The trees would be bearing fruits; the fig tree and vine would give their full yield. Your barns (bank accounts) will be full. What you had previously lost would have been replaced and even multiplied (vs. 22-26). Then, you will know, and everybody will know around you, that the LORD is GOD and He walks in the midst of those who fear Him.
From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely pray that you will not to miss anything good and perfect that GOD wants to deliver into your hands in 2014.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
